NWCA Welcomes International Coffee Trading Partner to Bamenda
The North West Cooperative Association (NWCA) recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Gaëtan Thiry, from Bamiléké Trading, during a visit to our cooperative in Bamenda, Cameroon.
This visit marked a meaningful moment of exchange between coffee producers and an international coffee trader committed to quality, transparency, and value creation within the African coffee sector. During the visit, we shared open discussions on production practices, quality improvement, farmer motivation, and the future of specialty coffee in Cameroon.
Mr. Thiry’s interest in our cooperative and his appreciation of our farmer-driven leadership reinforced the importance of direct engagement between producers and international partners. Such exchanges help bridge the gap between origin and market, ensuring that the efforts of farmers are properly recognized and valued.
The visit highlighted the potential for collaboration with international traders who are willing to support Cameroonian coffee on global markets, particularly in Europe. Partnerships of this nature play a key role in unlocking new opportunities for farmers while showcasing the unique characteristics of coffee grown in the North West Region of Cameroon.
NWCA expresses its sincere appreciation to Bamiléké Trading and Mr. Gaëtan Thiry for taking the time to visit, listen, and engage with our cooperative. We see this visit as a step toward long-term collaboration, mutual trust, and shared growth.
We remain committed to encouraging our members to move toward quality-driven and specialty coffee production. Through training, cooperative organization, and improved processing methods, we continue to work toward increasing both the quality of our coffee and the income of our farmers.
As we continue our journey toward excellence and sustainability, NWCA remains open to partnerships that align with our mission of bringing value to farmers and promoting Cameroonian coffee on the global stage.
